CEWIGO is a not for profit organization in Uganda, committed to the promotion of effective and equal participation of women and men in all spheres and at all levels of decision making.
CEWIGO held a workshop in Hoima district on 23rd March 2012. Participants reviewed a baseline survey report findings on “the impact of oil exploration on women’s political leadership in the Albertine sub-region.”
The purpose of the Citizens Empowerment Programme (CEP) is to design and implement strategies that raise citizens consciousness of their rights and responsibilities, and empower to effectively participate in governance and demand accountability from their leaders for effective service delivery.
CEWIGO is always recruiting volunteers and virtual interns to support its operations and programmes. Volunteers and interns can expect to work on a number of areas, including CEWIGO programmes, research and policy analysis, event planning and coordination, web site management, social media planning and execution, and more.
